4G in the UK by the end of 2012

The BBC and other news agencies are today reporting that UK Telecoms regulator Ofcom has allowed Everything Everywhere, the owner of the Orange and T-Mobile networks, to use its existing bandwidth to launch fourth-generation (4G) mobile services in the UK from 11th September 2012 onwards.

A significant step forward for all users and businesses in the UK, but what does 4G mean for you?

4G is the next generation of mobile communication standards, picking up where 3G drops off and delivering higher download and upload speeds, ensuring that the ‘internet of things‘ works more effectively for everyone.
